Qualifications

• Current certification as a Washington Substance Use Disorder Professional (SUDP).
• If providing co-occurring, must have Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor Credential.
• One year of experience in addictions treatment as a SUDP.
• Working knowledge of ASAM Patient Placement Criteria.
• Three years of experience in mental health, substance abuse treatment, or related work.
• Knowledge of the Washington State behavioral health system.
• Ability to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Company-wide vaccination policy; must be fully vaccinated or approved for exemption.
• Complete all credentialing requirements (NPI, Medallion/Medicare enrollment, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Admissions & Consent: educate individuals and families about treatment consents and disclosures.
• Treatment Planning: develop and implement individualized, person-centered Treatment Plans.
• Collateral Gathering & Assessment: conduct comprehensive SUD assessments per ASAM or policy.
• Care Coordination: coordinate care and provide referrals with facility staff and external providers.
• Discharge planning and safety: monitor and communicate with individuals during discharge.
• Documentation: maintain clinical records and obtain required signatures.
• Community knowledge: stay current with Washington State behavioral health resources.
• Professional development: participate in ongoing training and competency activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
