Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health Services is seeking staff to support Crisis Stabilization Services (CSU) and mobile crisis initiatives. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to plan treatment and discharge, coordinate post-discharge services, and assist with crisis intake and admissions.

The role requires a human services background, strong communication, and the ability to document and coordinate care across settings. A valid driver’s license is needed, and the position is on-site in Manhattan, KS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human services.
• 1 year experience in mental health/crisis services.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Basic computer skills for electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement person-centered treatment and crisis stabilization plans.
• Assist in discharge planning and community reintegration support.
• Coordinate referrals to housing and post-discharge services.
• Provide crisis intake support and assist with admissions and transfers.
• Support mobile crisis teams with field interventions and case management.
• Serve as shift Charge during assigned periods to ensure smooth workflow.
• Respond to crisis calls, triage, and provide de-escalation and resources over the phone.
