Job summary

Pawnee Mental Health is seeking qualified staff to support CSU operations, crisis line response, and mobile crisis services. You will monitor safety, perform client checks, assist clinical staff during crises, and help with daily routines and documentation.

Role requires driving, confidentiality, and teamwork in a high‑intensity environment with nights and weekends. Background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in mental health/crisis services.
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English.
• Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain a safe, therapeutic environment for all clients in the CSU.
• Conduct routine client checks and document observations per policy.
• Support clinical staff during crisis interventions and safety planning.
• Assist with daily routines including hygiene, meals, activities, and med pass support.
• Complete shift documentation, incident reports, and safety logs.
• Participate in team huddles, shift change reports, and staff meetings.
• Answer crisis line calls with de-escalation protocols and triage as needed.
• Dispatch mobile crisis and document calls in EHR systems.
• Assist with crisis intake, admissions logistics, and confidentiality compliance.
• Respond to community crisis calls in collaboration with clinicians.
