Job summary

Davis Behavioral Health, Inc. seeks day shift Psych Techs to support clinical teams at the Crisis Recovery Unit and Receiving Center in Layton, Utah. The role focuses on front-line client care, milieu management, de-escalation, and coordination with the treatment team.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and prefer prior psych tech or social work experience. Part-time positions include a 29.5-hour workweek with a base hourly rate of $19.25, plus applicable shift

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Strong preference for bilingual English/Spanish; Spanish-language assessment may be required.
• Experience as a psych tech or in social work preferred.
• Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Office required.

Responsibilities

• Interact with clients during crises, de-escalate situations, and maintain a positive recovery environment.
• Manage unit milieu and supervise clients as directed by clinical staff.
• Take crisis calls and coordinate with other service providers on the unit.
• Assist professional staff in group activities and in achieving treatment objectives.
• Record behaviors and activities; ensure compliance with treatment plans.
• Act as liaison between clients, family, and staff; provide supervision on site and off-unit.
• Transport clients in a 15-passenger van to meetings and approved off-unit activities.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
