  • Davis County Receiving Center (RC): a 23-72 hour alternative to inpatient hospitalization or incarceration that specializes in short-term crisis resolution.

Psych Techs are front-line support staff who work directly with clients experiencing behavioral health crises by engaging with clients individually, managing the milieu, attending to client needs, providing supervision of clients, de-escalating crisis situations, working in coordination with other service providers on the unit, and maintain a positive recovery environment.

On-call Per Diem

Part-time psych techs who are scheduled for a specific on-call shift are eligible to receive a $20 per diem for each on-call shift they are scheduled.

The per diem is compensated on a monthly basis during the pay period in which the last day of the month falls. When an employee is called in during one of their on-call shifts, they are expected to arrive on the unit within 30 minutes of the call. When contacted to provide coverage before the start of a shift, the expectation is that the employee arrives at the scheduled start time of that shift.

On-call shifts are considered scheduled shifts and employees must be available to work when called in. It is the responsibility of the employee to coordinate with the program supervisor if they are unable to fulfill their on-call shift due to illness or other circumstances. Per diem compensation will not be paid if an employee calls out during an on-call shift or does not respond when called.
