Job summary

Davis Behavioral Health (DBH) is seeking part-time Psych Techs to join our clinical teams at the Crisis Recovery Unit in Layton, Utah and the Davis County Receiving Center. Responsibilities include front-line engagement, milieu management, crisis de-escalation, and coordination with other service providers.

Candidates should be prepared for shift work, background checks, and pre-employment drug screening. Spanish bilinguals are preferred and a Spanish incentive stipend is offered upon passing

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include passing a pre-employment background check and drug screen.
• DBH prohibits use of illegal drugs or alcohol during employment; drug screen must be completed as requested.

Responsibilities

• Engage with clients experiencing behavioral health crises on the unit.
• Manage milieu and supervise clients to maintain a positive recovery environment.
• Take crisis calls and de-escalate situations in coordination with clinical staff.
• Record behaviors and activities for charting and reporting.
• Provide transportation via 15-passenger van when needed.
