Job summary

Intermountain Health Utah Valley Hospital is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician to support the multidisciplinary team. You will assist patients with daily living tasks, document care, monitor conditions, and maintain a safe environment in the behavioral health unit.

The role requires BLS, CNA/EMT credentials, and experience with psychiatric care. You will work nights and weekends, engage patients in group activities, and coordinate with nursing and therapy staff to implement treatment plans.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers is required.
• CNA or EMT certification preferred.
• Post high school education in social work, psychology, sociology, family studies, or health sciences is relevant.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living tasks and document delegated care.
• Monitor patient condition and report changes to clinical staff.
• Orient patients to the behavioral health unit and manage safety checks.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and assist with rounds and rounds documentation.
• Facilitate basic groups and psycho-educational activities as part of the treatment plan.
