Job summary

The Oregon Judicial Department in Bend, Oregon seeks a Criminal Judgment Clerk (Court Operations Specialist) to support judges by opening new criminal case files, scheduling hearings, and entering pleadings, warrants, and judgments into the electronic case management system.

You will also monitor payments for fines and fees, handle diversions and conditional discharges data, and interact with attorneys, litigants, and the public.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of responsible administrative experience in a moderately complex office setting.
• Combination of education and experience equivalent to four years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Open new criminal case files and schedule same-day hearings.
• Perform data entry for pleadings, warrants, indictments, release agreements, and judgments.
• Update case information in the electronic case management system.
• Review cases and payment schedules to ensure timely fines/fees payments.
• Provide customer service to attorneys, litigants, and the public in person, by phone, and in writing.
