The Gonzalez Law Group, PLLC in Houston, Texas is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney to join our general practice team. We welcome newly licensed attorneys and value the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of criminal defense representation.
• Appear in court for all court settings including arraignments, pretrial conferences, and jury trials.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
• Review and develop strategies for assigned cases.
• Negotiate and settle cases or prepare matters for jury trial.
• Perform legal research and apply legal principles to problems.
• Draft pleadings and present statements of law, facts, and arguments clearly and effectively both written and orally.
• Effectively manage a substantial caseload.
