Job summary

The Landline Company in Fort Collins, CO is seeking a Crew Scheduler to keep our operations staffed and running on time. You will build and maintain driver schedules, manage the 48+ hour window, and coordinate coverage with Operations leaders in a 365/24/7 environment.

This role requires strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to adapt as plans change. You will also help with dispatch, bids, and reporting to ensure reliable service across our network.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in crew scheduling, workforce scheduling, or dispatch in 24/7 operations.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, frontline environment with planning and real-time operations.
• Experience scheduling a shift-based hourly workforce across multiple locations.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA hours-of-service rules is a plus.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills with scheduling or workforce software experience.
• Ability to turn staffing data into clear, actionable reports.
• Excellent communication and coordination under time pressure.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive about spotting problems.
• Experience supporting a schedule bid process is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain schedules for drivers and operations staff across station locations.
• Manage scheduling window beyond 48 hours to keep trips and shifts staffed.
• Monitor coverage and identify open shifts, gaps, and issues early.
• Coordinate with Operations leaders on shift swaps, reassignments, and overtime within a 24/7 environment.
• Review future schedules for conflicts such as overlapping time off and hours-of-service limits.
• Keep scheduling information accurate and communicate changes promptly.
• Work the dispatch desk as needed to support drivers and day-of assignments.
• Support the employee quarterly bid process and publish awarded schedules.
• Prepare staffing and scheduling reports showing hours used vs scheduled and open risks.
