Job summary

Odyssey Logistics is seeking a Mover Packer Crew Leader in Anchorage to oversee daily crew operations, including loading, unloading, and delivering freight within the greater Anchorage area.

The role requires a valid Class D driver's license, at least 6 months of box truck driving experience, ability to lift 75 lbs, and compliance with DOT regulations. Onsite work schedule Mon-Fri with potential OT and weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid Class D driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Minimum 6 months experience driving a box truck.
• Prior military packing experience preferred; training may be provided.
• Valid government-issued ID for access to bases or secured facilities.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs.
• DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT medical card) required.
• Pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Ability to read/write in English and understand traffic signs per FHWA.
• Accurate completion of required paperwork.
• Strong communication with management, dispatch, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Operates box trucks in compliance with local/state laws and company procedures.
• Maintain professional attitude with customers, coworkers, and the public.
• Follow scheduled delivery requirements set by Odyssey International Services Inc./ARS.
• Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and arrange repairs as needed.
• Ensure loads are properly secured for transit.
• Use proper equipment for loading/unloading freight.
• Possess knowledge of TRANSCOM requirements and regulations.
• Lead crew, manage workload, and coordinate with dispatcher/office at job sites.
• Ensure materials are prepared before daily job assignments.
• Train and guide team members to complete jobs professionally and timely.
• Clean up at job sites and return tools to the ARS warehouse.
