Job summary

The CRES Market Coordinator at American Electric Power (AEP) supports Competitive Retail Electric Suppliers in Ohio, researching, analyzing, and resolving enrollment, usage, billing, and EDI issues to ensure accurate customer accounts and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with suppliers, internal teams, and regulators, assist with government aggregation, supplier payments, audits, and system enhancements while fostering strong relationships with market participants.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AEP’s MACSS system and MS Office applications.
• Experience with EDI transactions and billing/enrollment processes preferred.
• Familiarity with SOX requirements and internal controls a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first‑level support to Ohio CRES providers and resolve issues.
• Investigate enrollment, usage, and payment EDI transactions using MACSS data.
• Maintain accurate customer accounts and correct tariff/provider assignments.
• Collaborate with other AEP departments for efficient issue resolution.
• Assist with PUCO complaints and government aggregation requests.
• Build relationships with market participants to improve resolution speed.
• Work with IT on Choice projects and testing enhancements.
• Ensure SOX compliance and support quarterly audits.
• Analyze revenue‑related reports.
• Route supplier payments for daily approval using PeopleSoft.
