Back to Basics Learning Dynamics, Inc. seeks Creole-English interpreters for IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences and more, with daytime availability in Sussex County, Delaware.

Interpreters travel to local sites and provide interpreting services in various settings. Must be fluent in English and Creole, with 5–10 hours weekly availability, reliable transportation, and comfort using a phone/computer for input.

Qualifications

• Full fluency in both English and Creole.
• Daytime availability (9AM–5PM).
• Support 5–10 hours per week.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• 1+ years interpreting preferred but not required.
• Certifications/trainings preferred but not required.
• Willingness to undergo background checks (Federal, State, Child Abuse Registry).
• Reliable phone service and ability to use a phone/computer for input.

Responsibilities

• Travel to local client sites within Sussex County, Delaware.

• Maintain confidentiality and comply with professional conduct.

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking interpreters to interpret for IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, mental health evaluations, etc. Interpreters must have daytime availability.

Location: Sussex County, Delaware - IN-PERSON

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Travel to local client sites, within the Sussex County, Delaware area
• Provide Creole-English interpreting for school meetings, parent-teacher conferences, medical appointments, and more
• Adhere to Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality
• Adhere to all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry specific best practices

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Full fluency in both English and Creole
• Daytime availability (between the hours of 9AM - 5PM)
• Availability to support our interpreting clients 5-10hours a week
• Access to reliable transportation
• 1+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred, but not required
• Industry specific certifications/trainings preferred (CMI, CCHI, etc.), but not required
• Candidates mustbe willing to get a background check including Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry
• Must have reliable phone service for contact
• Must be comfortable with using a computer or smart phone for job input
