Job summary

Back to Basics Learning Dynamics is seeking Creole interpreters to interpret for IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, mental health evaluations, and more. Interpreters must have daytime availability and can set their own schedules; mileage is paid.

In-person assignments are in the Wilmington, DE area. Successful candidates typically have at least 1 year of professional interpreting experience, may be asked to provide proficiency documentation, and must pass a background check.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of professional interpreting experience on your resume.
• Documentation showing proficiency in languages other than English is preferred but not required.
• Must be willing to undergo a background check (Federal, State, and Child Abuse Registry).
• Must have reliable phone service for contact.

Responsibilities

• Interpret for Schools, State Agencies, Attorneys, and medical appointments.
• Create your own schedule; accept and decline jobs based on availability.
• Be available at least 6 hours a week, any days or times between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
• Mileage is paid to every job.
• Late cancellation is paid.
