Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking an Audit Manager to support enterprise controls through independent audits across U.S. banking and North American segments. The role involves evaluating control design, operational effectiveness, and risk governance while coordinating with the U.S. Audit Director and Senior Audit Manager.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in retail credit and audit, with familiarity in personal loan qualifications. Hybrid work arrangement applies, with three days in-office weekly.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ retail credit experience and 5+ years audit experience.
• Knowledge of internal controls and risk assessment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Banking Regulations.
• BMO Credit Qualification for personal loans is required.

Responsibilities

• Audit execution: plan and engage in audits with test procedures and work papers.
• Independently assess credit risk and adherence to policies; identify and address control deficiencies.
• Assess risk governance, policy effectiveness, and regulatory compliance scope.
• Perform data analytics to detect trends and anomalies in risk testing.
• Maintain open communication with clients and stakeholders during fieldwork.
