Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking an experienced Senior Credit Risk Reviewer to provide independent assessments of credit portfolios and internal control effectiveness. You will work with senior leaders to optimize risk-return and support profitability while protecting the bank's reputation.

The role requires deep expertise in credit risk analysis, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration across risk management and lending teams.

Qualifications

• Typically between 15+ years of relevant experience and/or certification in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Professional designations or business designation: CPA, MBA, CFA.
• Superior knowledge of all phases of effective credit administrations, policies and procedures.
• Excellent ability to identify early warning signals for management of problem accounts.

Responsibilities

• Review and rate credit risks to ensure timeliness and accuracy for assigned portfolios.
• Advise on credit policies and processes to improve risk management.
• Lead risk reviews and special projects, coordinating with senior leaders and across units.
• Develop business cases and actionable insights to inform strategy and initiatives.
