Job summary

First Community Credit Union in Beloit, Wisconsin seeks a Collections Manager who will lead a high-energy service and sales culture while overseeing complex collections activities, including garnishments, repossessions, and bankruptcies. • Understanding of federal and state regulations relevant to credit unions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with outbound calling ability.

Responsibilities

• Live the First Community Credit Union Mission, Vision and Values within the organization and communities.
• File all small claim actions, money and replevin judgments in a timely manner.
• Process garnishment paperwork when judgments are received and coordinate with employer if needed.
• Arrange repossession services when payoff is broken, including necessary filings and vehicle pickup logistics.
• Process insurance, Creditor and Single Interest Vendor claims; pursue timely payments and settlements.
• Manage repossession paperwork for refunds (MRC, GAP, aftermarket products) and ensure refunds are received.
• Ensure accurate paperwork during and after sale of repossessed vehicles with loan staff.
• Assist members interested in purchasing repossessed vehicles and refer to a Manager for appplication.
• Handle bankruptcy filings to protect FCCU interests and obtain reaffirmation or attorney support as needed.
• Oversee total loss claims of secured vehicles from start to finish, including police reports and GAP claims.
• Refer delinquent accounts to third parties after FCCU collection efforts exhaust.
• Report charge-off activity to Chex Systems and TriVerity as appropriate.
• Promote a positive credit union image during all hours and events; contribute to product enhancements.
