Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a Credit & Collections Associate in Clearwater, FL. The role starts on the phone queue and, after ramping up, you will manage your own portfolio of accounts. The position is on-site in Clearwater with standard hours and requires a customer-service mindset.

Compensation is $22/hr, with a 6-month contract to hire and overtime as needed. The schedule runs roughly 8am–5pm, on-site every day.

Qualifications

• About 2 years of Accounts Receivable or collections experience, ideally B2B.
• Strong customer service and phone skills; comfortable on calls most of the day.
• Basic Excel and MS Office proficiency required.
• Oracle or SAP experience is a plus.
• A sense of urgency, strong communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
• HS diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls for payments and credit questions.
• Make outbound calls on delinquent accounts.
• Help customers resolve invoice discrepancies before payments are processed.
• Work declined and expired credit cards daily.
• Review credit hold orders and decide next steps per guidelines.

Job description

Our client is looking for a Credit & Collections Associate. This role handles inbound and outbound collection calls and helps customers resolve credit and invoice issues, with excellent customer service on every interaction. The role starts on the phone queue and once ramped up you'll take on your own portfolio of accounts.

Location: Clearwater, FL (33760)

Schedule: On-site Everday (~8am-5pm)

Compensation: $22/hr

Duration: 6-month Contract to Hire

Overtime: Required when business needs arise

Desired Experience

• ~ 2 years of Accounts Receivable or collections experience, ideally B2B (will also consider Customer Service experience)
• Strong customer service and phone skills, and comfort spending most of the day on calls with clients
• Basic Excel and MS Office
• Oracle or SAP experience is a plus
• A sense of urgency, strong communication skills, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• HS diploma or GED

Day to Day

• Answer inbound calls for payments and credit questions, and make outbound calls on delinquent accounts
• Help customers resolve invoice discrepancies before their payments are processed
• Work declined and expired credit cards every day
• Review orders in the credit hold queue, decide next steps using credit guidelines, and follow up on held orders
• Respond to customer emails, and work with the team to resolve disputes
• In the first few months, meet monthly with Customer Service to fix calls that are misrouted to AR
• Once that process is in place, manage your own portfolio of collections accounts
