Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months experience in payment collections or general office procedures.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s License.
• Ability to review, categorize, prioritize, and analyze data for collections tasks.

Responsibilities

• Sends text messages, mails form letters and late charge notices to encourage payment of delinquent accounts.
• Confers with customers by text or telephone to determine reason for overdue payment and review terms.
• Documents all correspondence and attempted correspondence with customers.
• Receives payments and posts amounts paid to customer accounts.
• Maintains and balances cash drawer and secures it when unattended.
• Travels to customers’ homes to collect on late payments and assists with repossessions if approved.
• Prepares paperwork prior to legal action for severely late-paying customers.
• Initiates credit investigations by telephone for new credit applicants under direction of Credit Manager.
• Logs details of work activities daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Logs customer service requests into PQA and schedules merchandise repairs.
• Assists customers on the sales floor and participates in CRM updates.
