Job summary

Texas First Bank in Texas is seeking a commercial credit underwriter to support the lending team through financial and credit analysis. The role involves analyzing financial reports, determining risk, and preparing credit packages for loan requests.

The candidate should have 3+ years in CRE and C&I underwriting and strong MS Office skills. You will work with Relationship Managers and lending teams to monitor compliance, review loan presentations, and participate in loan committee discussions,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting or finance with a strong basis in financial accounting.
Minimum of 3 years commercial underwriting experience in CRE and C&I loans.
Ability to analyze complex credit relationships.
Advanced knowledge of financial statements.

Responsibilities

Analyzing financial information such as balance sheets, income and cash flow statements.
Accurately spread financial statements.
Assessing the overall credit worthiness of client companies.
Prepare, review, and discuss loan presentation with the Relationship Manager and senior staff.
Prepare written credit-approval packages for approval presentation.
Participate in loan committee meetings.
