Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a Credit Analyst to assess complex commercial and agricultural loan opportunities.

The role involves in-depth financial statement reviews, risk rating assignments, and presenting recommendations to loan officers and loan committees. Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration and at least three years in commercial credit analysis, with strong Excel skills and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis or banking.
• Formal advanced training in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analyses and financial statement reviews of complex loans, industries, and commercial and ag loan relationships.
• Create credit presentations summarizing borrower financial condition and repayment capacity with loan officer recommendations.
• Monitor loan requests and assign risk ratings based on policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Research industry information and provide analysis.
• Assist with training of less tenured analysts and review their work.
• Meet with commercial customers with loan officers to foster relationships and understanding of credits.
• Support other credit analysis tasks such as reporting and monitoring.
