Job summary

First Mid Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a credit analyst to conduct in-depth analyses of commercial and agricultural loans and perform financial statement reviews for loan officers and committees.

You will prepare professional credit presentations, assess repayment capacity, and monitor risk ratings in line with policy and regulations. The role involves researching industry information, coordinating with loan officers, and training junior analysts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and/or commensurate banking experience in a lending or credit function.
• 3+ years of experience in commercial credit analysis or banking industry.
• Formal advanced training in Microsoft Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform credit analyses and financial statement reviews of complex loans, industries, and commercial and ag loan relationships.
• Create professional credit presentations that summarize borrower’s complex financial condition and evaluate repayment capacity and collateral coverage.
• Monitor loan requests and assign risk ratings based on lending policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Research industry information and provide analysis.
• Meet with commercial customers of the Bank with loan officers to foster relationships.
