Cathay Bank in El Monte, CA seeks a loan analyst to support Relationship Managers by delivering financial analyses and credit insights on C&I and Owner-Occupied CRE transactions. You will assess borrower and guarantor creditworthiness and prepare cash flow projections to inform credit decisions.

This role requires 2–3 years of commercial credit analysis experience, a finance or accounting degree, and proficiency with Excel and credit-spreading tools.

Formación

• College degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or related field preferred; MBA a plus.
• Some level of accounting coursework required.
• 2–3 years of experience in analyzing and underwriting commercial credit (C&I or CRE).
• Knowledge of credit policies, financial statement analysis, and cash flow analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial spreading tools (nCino or CASH).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare financial statements and global cash flow spreads for existing and new clients.
• Analyze cash flows to support proposed credit structure and assess risks.
• Prepare credit write-ups with in-depth financial analysis and covenants.
• Review collateral and monitor credit risk periodically.
• Stay updated on lending policies and regulations.
• Coordinate with Bank staff on lending requirements and regulations.
• Review risk grading to identify potential credit issues.
• Escalate issues to Team/Division Manager and Relationship Manager.
