Job summary

Cathay Bank in Los Angeles is seeking a licensed professional to support loan officers in client service and loan processing. You will coordinate with internal and external teams to close commercial loans and provide quality service while meeting deadlines.

The role requires 2–3 years in corporate lending, strong financial analysis, and knowledge of underwriting policies. The position offers full-time hours and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• College graduate with a major in accounting, finance, or business preferred.
• 2–3 years of corporate commercial lending and banking experience with knowledge of lending regulations, loan funding/closing, and credit/underwriting practices.
• PC-based work with good verbal and written communication; organized and detail oriented; knowledge of underwriting policies and approval process; able to manage funding/closing and complex loan issues; able to work in a fast-paced environment; strong financial analysis and accounting skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the lending team's client service and loan processing.
• Coordinate with loan documentation, loan servicing, title, escrow, borrower, broker to close commercial loans.
• Provide quality client service and follow up on outstanding items.
• Prepare required disclosure information within designated time frames.
• Ensure compliance with bank, regulatory and credit requirements with emphasis on quality client service while meeting deadlines.
• Assist with mentoring and training loan assistants.
• Monitor loan covenants and insurance; upload loan-related documents to imaging system.
