Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Credit Analyst in Los Angeles, CA to support underwriting, portfolio monitoring and loan committee decisions for commercial lending services.

The role focuses on analyzing financial statements, tax returns, cash flow and DSCR, with emphasis on accuracy, risk assessment and clear credit memoranda for committee review. On-site with a collaborative office culture and strong team environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
• 2+ years of credit analysis or underwriting experience at a bank, commercial lender, or CRE lending/advisory firm
• Hands-on experience with financial spreading, tax return analysis (1040, 1065, 1120/1120S), global cash flow, and DSCR calculations
• Strong credit memo writing and ability to present a clear recommendation to the credit committee
• Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, lookups, pivot tables)
• Exposure to CRE lending, appraisals, or real estate valuation
• Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple deals on deadline

Responsibilities

• Underwrite new commercial loan requests by spreading financial statements and tax returns and analyzing cash flow and DSCR
• Write clear credit memoranda with risk factors and mitigants for loan committee
• Build and maintain Excel financial models and loan sizers with projections and stress testing
• Evaluate CRE and owner-occupied collateral using appraisals and market data for LTV analysis
• Monitor loan portfolio through annual reviews and covenant checks, flag deterioration
• Ensure loans meet internal policy and documentation with other teams
• Prepare portfolio reports for senior management and board, automate recurring reports
