Job summary

SGMC Health on Main Campus seeks a Credentialing Coordinator to manage centralized credentialing for Medical Staff, including pre- applications, initial appointments, annual reviews, reappointments, and privileging. You will run background, license, and other verifications and report findings for final decisions.

Candidate will support compliance with bylaws, Joint Commission standards and collaborate with CMO and Medical Staff leadership to resolve discrepancies and ensure accuracy and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare field with 3–5 years in Medical Staff Services preferred.
• Ability to review, research and make sound decisions during discovery of Medical Staff candidates.
• Ability to communicate professionally and present findings, discrepancies, and concerns to leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and maintain centralized credentialing for Medical Staff including pre-applications, initial appointment, annual review and reappointment.
• Perform background checks, DEA checks, license checks, and reference checks; determine if qualifications meet criteria.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to review and finalize credentialing decisions; ensure compliance with bylaws and Joint Commission standards.
