Job summary

Ascension's St. Agnes Healthcare in Baltimore is seeking a Medical Directors - Credentialing professional to manage end-to-end credentialing for clinical staff, including initial and biennial re-credentialing.

You will serve as the primary liaison with medical offices, boards, and insurance carriers, maintain an audit-ready credential database, and draft verification letters to external institutions. This full-time, days shift role offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities to advance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or 1 year of applicable experience.
• NAMSS Credentialing Specialist credential preferred.

Responsibilities

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Application Management: Execute the end-to-end processing of initial credentialing and biennial re-credentialing applications for all clinical staff.
• Communication & Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for medical office staff, state licensing boards, and insurance carriers to resolve discrepancies in provider files.
• Database Integrity & Compliance: Maintain a high-accuracy database of provider credentials, ensuring all digital and physical records are audit-ready at all times.
• Verification Accuracy: Facilitate professional correspondence, including the drafting and tracking of verification letters to external institutions and peer references.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): None Required.
• Preferred Credential(s): Credentialing Specialist credentialed from the National Association Medical Staff Services.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. *Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
