Qualifications

• WA licensed or ability to obtain before start date.
• Foundation in emergency/critical care nursing, including triage.
• Comfort with advanced ECC skills; training is provided.
• Ability to recognize shock, respiratory distress and emergencies.
• Good communication with pet parents during stressful times.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care and educate clients.
• Triages incoming emergency patients and gathers histories.
• Perform and assist with diagnostic tests and treatments.
• Assist with procedures and anesthesia support.
• Initiate and monitor blood product transfusions.
• Provide nursing care to ICU patients per hospital protocols.
• Prepare patients for discharge and give clear instructions.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment areas and labs.
• Collaborate with colleagues to foster a positive team environment.
