Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Hammond, LA is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events including children’s parties and craft classes. You will deliver friendly customer service, assist shoppers, and ensure smooth checkout experiences while maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities include setup, teardown, event enhancements, and coordinating communications with clients and store teams. Prior retail experience and strong organizational skills are a must.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids parties and craft classes.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist shoppers in finding products.
• Oversee setup, execution and teardown of events to ensure brand standards.
• Engage participants with crafts, activities and demonstrations.
• Coordinate add-ons and event enhancements (goody bags, balloons, etc.).
• Handle administrative tasks such as emails and calls related to events.
