Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Events Coordinator to manage store events and customer experiences in LA-Orange, CA. You will plan children’s parties, teach crafts, supervise activities, and coordinate add-ons while ensuring a fun, safe, and organized environment for guests.

You will also assist customers, process transactions, and support store operations, including shipments, merchandising, and SOP compliance. Prior experience in retail or events is valued.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in crafts, perform face painting and activities.
• Facilitate party add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans and events based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans to be executed.
• Ensure client satisfaction for scheduled events.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up, break down, and clean after events.
