Job summary

Michaels in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a energetic team member to plan and coordinate events, including children's birthday parties, within the store. You will engage customers, assist with shopping needs, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You’ll support omni-channel processes, stock and store maintenance, and safety standards while delivering the Michaels Brand Promises. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events within a Michaels store, including kids parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative, and engaging environment.
• Provide friendly customer service, help shoppers, and ensure fast checkout experiences.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle administrative tasks as needed.
• Assist with omni-channel processes such as BOPIS and SFS; participate in stocking and planogram processes.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety standards, and SOP compliance.
• Cross-train in custom framing selling and production; participate in daily store upkeep.
