Job summary

Michaels in Green Bay, WI seeks an enthusiastic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children’s birthday parties. You will assist customers, manage checkouts, and support omnichannel processes while maintaining store standards and safety.

You will engage guests of all ages, coordinate event logistics, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and flexibility in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience planning or supporting children’s events and parties.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly.
• Retail or customer service experience is required.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple events and tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events inside the Michaels store, including kids birthday parties.
• Deliver friendly customer service and help guests locate products and complete purchases.
• Assist with Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS) and store responsibilities.
• Create a fun, safe, and engaging experience while upholding store standards.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and communicate plans to clients and team.
• Assist with everyday store tasks such as cleaning, stocking, and paperwork as needed.
