Job summary

The Michaels Companies in Blue Springs, MO is seeking a Part-time Party and Event Host to plan and coordinate in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties and craft classes, delivering a fun, engaging guest experience.

You will engage customers of all ages, assist with checkouts, merchandise tasks, and event setup and breakdown, while communicating clearly with clients and store teammates. Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once (kids birthday parties, craft classes).
• Engage with guests of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and lead activities, including face painting and party add-ons.
• Coordinate with clients and store team; manage communications and scheduling.
• Set up, break down, and clean after events; ensure safety and store standards.
