Job summary

Michaels Shawnee, KS is hiring a part-time Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate in-store events, including kids birthday parties and craft classes. You will engage with guests, help them shop, and deliver a friendly checkout experience while maintaining store standards.

You will handle setup/breakdown, communicate with clients and team members, and develop backup plans. This role requires energy, creativity, and strong people skills; experience with childrens events is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at the Michaels store, including kids' birthdays and craft classes.
• Engage with guests of all ages, help shoppers and provide friendly service at checkout.
• Set up, run, and clean up events; upsell add-ons like goody bags or balloons as appropriate.
• Communicate with clients and store team members; manage emails and calls as needed.
