Job summary

Michaels in Westlake, OH is seeking a vibrant events facilitator to plan and coordinate kids parties and in-store classes. You will engage guests of all ages, demonstrate crafts, and assist with add-ons while ensuring a fast, friendly checkout and overall great customer experience.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, setup/breakdown, and collaboration with team to maintain brand promises and safety standards. Prior experience with children’s events is essential.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have excellent people skills.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events at Michaels stores, including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants, and perform face painting or activities as needed.
• Set up, break down, and maintain event safety and cleanliness per SOPs.
• Assist with store tasks such as restocking, emails, calls, and coordination with store team.
