Job summary

Michaels in Lewis Center, OH is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run engaging children's parties and craft classes inside our store. You will demonstrate crafts, lead activities, and ensure safety and cleanliness while delivering a fun, creative shopping experience.

You will work closely with customers and team members, handle add-ons, coordinate schedules, and complete administrative tasks. Retail and customer service experience is preferred; you must be energetic, organized, and able

Qualifications

Experience coordinating events, preferably in a retail or service setting.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to engage with guests of all ages and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate multiple events, including children's parties and craft classes.
Demonstrate crafts and perform face painting for participants.
Coordinate party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
Communicate events with clients and store team members.
Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork).
Set up, run, and break down events; ensure safety and cleanliness.
