Job summary

Michaels Stores in Brunswick, GA is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including kids’ birthday parties, craft classes, and other activities, delivering a fun, creative experience for guests. You will assist customers, help them find products, manage checkout experience, support rewards enrollments, and keep store clean and safe while coordinating with the team.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in event planning or coordinating children's activities.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events such as children's parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages to create a fun environment.
• Instruct participants in crafts and activities during events.
• Facilitate add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Coordinate plans with clients and store team members.
• Handle emails and phone calls and complete paperwork as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety during events.
