Job summary

Michaels in San Angelo, TX is seeking an enthusiastic Events Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children's birthday parties, to create a fun and engaging experience for guests.

You will help customers, manage checkout, support omni-channel services like Buy Online Pick Up In Store, and ensure store recovery and safety standards. This role requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children's events.
• Excellent people skills and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes.
• Assist customers in finding products and provide solutions.
• Support checkout with fast and friendly service.
• Enroll customers in Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards.
• Assist omni-channel processes like Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards.
