Job summary

Shaner Hotels in Sebring, FL is seeking a dedicated line cook to join our hotel kitchen team. You will plan, prep, and set up menus and specials, ensuring all dishes meet our standards for quality and presentation.

Maintain sanitation, support budgeting with the Exec Chef, and keep equipment clean while working a flexible schedule including weekends. You should have proven line cook experience, strong attention to detail, and solid communication with guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a line cook or relevant role.
• In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
• Safe food handling certification preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests, management and co-workers.
• Physical strength and stamina for long hours standing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials.
• Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Assist the Executive Chef in establishing department budgets and adhering to budget guidelines.
• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to hotel standards.
