Job summary

Michaels Stores in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and deliver in-store events such as kids' parties and crafts. You will greet customers, assist shoppers, and ensure a fast, friendly checkout while maintaining safety and store standards.

Manage supplies, setup, and post-event cleanup in line with brand promises. Communicate with clients and team members, adjust plans on feedback, and create memorable experiences for guests ages 4 to 94+.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic personality required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working with children and children’s events preferred.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events, including kids birthday parties and craft classes.
• Engage with customers of all ages and provide friendly assistance during shopping and events.
• Instruct participants, manage supplies, and handle event add-ons (balloons, goody bags).
• Coordinate with store team, answer emails, calls, and paperwork as needed.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to SOPs during events.
• Support omni-channel processes related to events and customer service.
