Job summary

Hy-Vee, Inc. floral design department is seeking a Floral Designer to create beautiful arrangements to customers’ exact specifications, serve as a lead for floral clerks, and ensure the department is stocked, fresh, and running smoothly.

You will process FTD and Teleflora orders, counsel customers on floral care, and lead the department when needed. This fast-paced, creative environment calls for strong design skills, customer focus, and reliable teamwork in-store.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Strong floral design skills and knowledge of floral care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers and taking special requests.
• Create arrangements to exact specifications and advise on floral care.
• Lead floral clerks and train them on simple designs and daily tasks.
• Process orders (FTD, Teleflora, internet) and manage store inventory and pricing.
• Stay current on floral trends and assist with in-store events.
