Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in Katy, TX is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s parties and crafts classes, while delivering friendly customer service.

You will help customers shop, enroll them in rewards and card programs, and support omni-channel processes like BOPIS and SFS. You will also perform store duties such as stocking and setup, while ensuring safety standards and adherence to SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events including children’s birthday parties and crafts classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and teach craft projects; assist with face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons per company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, paperwork.
