Job summary

Michaels store in Wilton, CT is seeking an energetic events and customer experience associate. You will plan and coordinate children’s parties, crafts, and classes while delivering friendly service and guiding guests through shopping, checkout, and rewards programs.

You will also assist with stock, store cleanliness, and safety protocols. You’ll engage customers of all ages, teach craft activities, manage add-ons, and support omni‑channel processes such as Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship

Qualifications

• Retail/customer service experience required
• Excellent people skills
• Experience working with children and children’s events
• Good written and verbal communication
• Organizational and problem-solving abilities

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events (children’s birthday parties, craft classes)
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts and activities
• Handle party add-ons (goody bags, balloons) per standards
• Assist customers with shopping and checkout experiences, enroll in Rewards/Private Label Credit Cards
• Support omni-channel processes (BOPIS, SFS) and store operations
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety, stock, planograms, and recovery
• Assist with daily administrative tasks and communications
