Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. is seeking an Event Coordinator in a Michaels store to plan and facilitate engaging events such as children’s birthday parties. You will deliver excellent customer service, coordinate multiple events, and support store operations.

Ideal candidates have retail or customer service experience and strong people skills. Applicants must be comfortable with a dynamic retail environment, maintain store standards, and engage with guests of all ages to create memorable

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events such as children's birthday parties and craft classes.
• Instruct participants and perform face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks including emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and store standards during setups and breakdowns.
• Uphold SOPs and assist in store operations.
