Job summary

The Michaels Companies Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including kids birthday parties, delivering a fun, creative guest experience. You will help customers shop, assist with checkout, and support Rewards enrollments. Weekend and night availability is required to ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s parties and craft classes.
Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities like face painting.
Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
Coordinate with store team and clients; manage emails and calls.
Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and program SOPs; assist with stocking and SISO.
