Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator at our Winter Park, FL store to plan and host kid’s birthday parties and craft events, delivering a fun, engaging guest experience. You’ll work with customers to plan activities, instructors, and materials while upholding store standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating events, assisting customers, managing checkout, and performing merchandise and store recovery duties, with a focus on safety, cleanliness, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children’s events.
• Excellent people skills and strong communication abilities.
• Organizational and planning skills suitable for coordinating multiple events.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties and other crafts classes.
• Engage with clients of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts, including face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to company standards.
• Handle administrative tasks: emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Uphold safety, cleanliness, and SOP adherence in store operations.
