Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in related role is required.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles, cooking methods, and safety regulations (food handling, sanitation, storage).
• Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam, and use various cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portions food according to established guidelines.
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, coworkers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensure security of company assets
