Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role
• Knowledge of basic food preparation principles and safety regulations
• Ability to acquire food safety certification
• Basic math and counting skills
• Good interpersonal communication

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
• Safely use a variety of utensils including knives
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bake, roasts, broils, steams, and use a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
• Arrange, garnish, and portions food according to established guidelines
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets
