The role involves preparing a variety of dishes, setting up kitchens, and maintaining clean, safe workspaces in a fast-paced environment. Experience as a cook and a willingness to obtain food safety certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation methods.
• Ability to obtain food safety certification.
• Strong math and counting skills.
• Good communication with team and guests.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to recipes and production guidelines.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use utensils including knives.
• Operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, etc.
• Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses diverse cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish, and portions food according to established guidelines.
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor toward guests, customers, clients, co-workers.
• Adheres to safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation.
• Ensures security of company assets.
