Qualifications

• Experience as a cook or in a related role.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.
• Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and recipes.
• Set up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment.
• Prepare ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items.
• Safely use utensils including knives and operate equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers.
• Bake, roast, broil, steam and use multiple cooking methods for meat, vegetables and other foods.
• Arrange, garnish and portion food according to guidelines; store food safely and sanitize work areas.
